WOMEN IN ARMED CONFLICTS AND PEACE PROCESSES
Czech Women's Lobby takes a great pleasure in inviting you to the conference on WOMEN IN ARMED CONFLICTS AND PEACE PROCESSES, on the Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, and 1820 on Immediate Cessation of Sexual Violence in Conflict Zones. The conference will take place on December 8, 2009 (9:30 am – 4.30 pm) at Kaunický Palace in Prague. The conference is organized by the Czech Women’s Lobby with the financial support of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung. For further information see the conference programme.

European Women’s Lobby: Women, the Financial and Economic Crisis - the Urgency of a Gender Perspective
The European Women’s Lobby (EWL) in its statement from September 2009 on women, the financial and economic crisis urges policy makers to recognize gendered aspects of the crisis, its different impact on men and women and its impact on the gender equality.
